![]() It will run over the top of the old Diablo engine which is part of D2:R, so that it handles the game flow to keep it feeling like the original, but looking shiny and stuff. They are not touching Diablo 2 as it currently stands.ĭ2:R is a separate game entirely. Those are relatively simple mods that don’t require major changes to the internal systems of the game like Median you are well versed in the nuance of D2 and the common mods then what is the point of claiming/implying that I have a hoarding problem? You would know that outside of external stash mods a large cluster of mules, a second copy of the game would be required, and management becomes a nightmare over time. I seriously doubt that Blizzard will build a feature that is supported by them, that replicates ATMA/GoMule, the runeword mod, or Plugy. Console off-line is a no-no as I don’t buy consoles. If Resurrected is b-net only and they are not going to mess with 1.14d then they are effectively abandoning D2-LoD hence my “permanently entombed” comment. Off-line players are still part of the community. If they break this feature it will only affect those who play off-line. If a D2:R client cannot play together with a non-D2:R client in an off-line LAN game then the devs are breaking the game. The whole idea of “we hear you” becomes straight BS and is a fast way to break trust. If its b-net only then are we to think that they learned from the War3:R fiasco? No way. If they don’t have off-line solo/LAN then the entire discussion about mods is dead. ![]() It just implies TCP/IP because broadband is dependent on TCP/IP. It does not say TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, Bonjour, or any protocol. ![]() It lists broadband internet as a requirement. If that is the case take a look at the requirements on the product page in the online shop: Someone said, in this or another thread, that the devs/Blizz management won’t be making the same mistake. They may as well call it a different game entirely. If they remove off-line solo and LAN then there is no point in calling it Diablo 2: Resurrected.
